Due to the delicacy and rarity of our items we advise collection, or private courier.
If you require the item shipping, all items will be expertly packaged and sent by Parcelforce 24hr signed for (UK) or Euro / Global Priority tracked and signed for (Worldwide). All items will be fully insured.
If you are outside of Europe, please read the item description carefully as you may require an export / re-export permit which we can provide for a small fee.
Please also check with your own customs department to determine whether you require an import permit.
A large proportion of the items we sell are antique and pre 1947, this means that if they are a protected species they do not require license to sell in the UK, due to their age.
When we sell modern specimens they are offered for sale with the relevant licenses (CITES Article 10) where required.
Please be aware that if you are outside the European Union, you may require an export or re-export permit. We can provide this for an additional £50.00 but you must also check with your own customs department to ascertain whether the specimen you wish to purchase requires an import permit.
All specimens offered for sale by Halstead Taxidermy Ltd are legally acquired.
We purchase from collectors, museums, taxidermists and reputable private dealers to ensure that all items have the required paperwork and provenance.
Any species listed by CITES is accompanied with the necessary licenses (CITES Article 10).
